We set up this website with the intention of making visual accessibility a first priority, rather than facilitated as an afterthought with a plug-in that may or may not break the formatting. The default formatting that is currently in use — 18pt font minimum, dark and high contrast, sans-serif font, as well as the spacing — is based on what works best for our visual processing and migraines. This is far from a universally accessible site as-is, and we hope to address gaps in accessibility as we grow. If you have accessibility issues or questioning, feel free to contact us. Below we have a list of goals for the website moving forward.
- create a lightmode
- add options for text size increase or decrease.
- add options to swap default text (currently sans-serif, which we replace with OpenDyslexic through Firefox's accessibilty settings)
